Portugal captain Cristiano Ronaldo has been named the worst player at Euro 2024 by one metric, according to statistics provided by WhoScored.

Ronaldo had the worst record in converting scoring chances, with the top five also including Germany’s Kai Havertz, Belgium’s Romelu Lukaku, France’s Kylian Mbappe and Netherlands’ Memphis Depay.

The Portuguese striker played in five matches at the tournament, scoring no goals and making one assist. Portugal were eliminated in the quarter-finals of Euro 2024, losing to France. The teams were unable to determine a winner in regular and extra time, and the French were more accurate in the penalty shootout.

The European Championship final took place on Sunday, July 14. The Spanish team defeated England with a score of 2:1.
