Messi expressed hope for a speedy return from his injury in the tournament final. “I am very happy that we achieved our goal and won another America’s Cup. We are a team and a family. Thank you to everyone who supported us,” he wrote.
In the 2024 Copa America final, Argentina beat Colombia 1-0 in overtime. Messi was unable to finish the game due to injury and was substituted in the 66th minute.
