Alaves signs Asier Villalibre until 2028

Alavés has signed Asier Villalibre, until the end of the 2027-28 seasonas announced this Monday afternoon by the Vitorian club and the Athleticwhich was the team with which the Gernika-Lumo striker had a contract until June 2025.
Villalibre, who will turn 27 on September 30, thus returns to Alavés, where he already played in the 2022-23 season, between January and June 2023, on loan from Athletic. In those months, the Biscayan footballer was in the line-up in 20 official matches, in which he scored six goals; the most memorable one was scored in his last match, in Valencia, against Levante, in a penalty in extra time of the second leg of the final for promotion to LaLiga EA Sports.
With Athletic, the Gernika-Lumo striker made his debut in the First Division in the 2016-17 campaign, and has played 127 official matches, with 21 goals. Villalibre leaves the red-and-white club with two titles: the 2021 Super Cup, in whose final he scored a decisive goal, and the 2024 Cup.
