“Championship”: hockey player Kuznetsov to sign four-year contract with SKA
Russian Carolina Hurricanes forward Evgeny Kuznetsov will return from the National Hockey League (NHL) to Russia. This was reported to Championat.
According to the source, the 32-year-old hockey player will sign a contract with St. Petersburg SKA. It is noted that the agreement will be for four years.
In March, Kuznetsov was traded from the Washington Capitals to Carolina. He played 63 games with the team, scoring 24 points (8 + 16). His contract with Carolina runs until the end of the 2024/2025 season.
In late 2023, Kuznetsov entered the NHL Player Assistance Program. The program works with hockey players suffering from psychological problems, as well as alcohol or drug addiction. In 2019, Kuznetsov was disqualified for using cocaine.
