The Copa America final took place on the night of Monday, July 15. Argentina played Colombia and won 1-0 thanks to Lautaro Martinez’s goal in overtime. Messi started the game and was replaced in the 66th minute due to injury.
Messi, together with the Argentina national team, won two America’s Cups, a World Cup, the Olympics, and the Finalissima, a tournament consisting of one match between the winners of the Euro and America’s Cup. The Argentine striker won the rest of his trophies at club level.
