Kane confident England can beat Spain in Euro final: ‘We’re really excited’

Striker Harry Kane gave a press conference this Saturday and spoke about the European Championship final between England and Spain, which will be held on Sunday afternoon, at 4pm (Brasília time), at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin. The England captain was confident of winning the title.

“We have every credit to play in this game. I know what it means to me and I know what it means to the country to win this final. We are very excited to have another opportunity to win the Euros,” he said.

If won, this would be England’s first European Championship, having not won the World Cup since 1966. It would also be Kane’s first trophy.

The number 9 also praised and congratulated the young striker Lamine Yamal, who turned 17 this Saturday and has been one of the highlights of the competition.

“I want to congratulate him on what he has done so far. To do this at 17 years old in a tournament like this says a lot about him. You can see he plays without fear, with freedom, having fun… He will be one of the most dangerous players in the match.”

This will be Harry Kane’s second European Championship final. The first, in 2021, saw the striker and England lose on penalties to Italy (3-2) after a 1-1 draw.

“You have to learn from the bad moments, but it helped me improve as a player and as a person,” said the England captain of the tournament’s final decider.
