Two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko said that Russian figure skater Alexandra Trusova has decided to resume her professional career. His words are quoted by TASS.
According to him, the athlete is now training every day. “This is a big sensation. I have proven that this is possible. I hope that my athlete will prove it too,” Plushenko said.
On July 4, it was reported that Trusova wanted to perform at the Russian national team’s test skates. It was specified that the final decision on her participation would be made by the Russian Figure Skating Federation (RFSFKR) later.
Olympic silver medalist Trusova has not competed since November 2022. On June 17, it was announced that she was engaged to Russian figure skater Makar Ignatov.
