Bellew on Fury in Usyk rematch: If I was that big, I would take over Russia
British boxer Tony Bellew assessed the chances of his compatriot Tyson Fury in a rematch against the absolute world heavyweight boxing champion, Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. His words are quoted on the YouTube channel iFL TV.
Bellew said he could see Fury winning. “Man, if I was that big – 120kg and 210cm – I would take over Russia without fear!” – this is how he responded to a question about the outcome of the fight.
The rematch between Usyk and Fury will take place on December 21 in Riyadh. The first fight took place on the night of May 19 in Saudi Arabia. The fight lasted all 12 rounds and ended with the Ukrainian winning by a split decision – 115-112, 113-114, 114-113.
Usyk won his 22nd professional fight and remains undefeated. For Fury, this defeat was the first in his professional career with 34 wins and one draw.
