“90 minutes away from glory”, was how Dani Olmo summed it up in a press conference this Friday, two days before the Euro Cup final, in which Spain will face England in Berlin.
“We’re only thinking about the final, we’re 90 minutes away from glory, from being able to win a European Championship 12 years later. Our motivation is maximum,” declared the RB Leipzig player.
With three goals and two assists in the tournament, Olmo said he goes into the game with “extra motivation” to score in the final, but that the most important thing is the title. To achieve this, the 28-year-old forward believes that La Roja does not need to change its style of play to adapt to the opponent.
“If it’s working well, why change it? We’re doing well and preparing in the same way as always for the final,” he said.

Their opponents, England, lost the continental final in 2021 and arrive for Sunday’s game wanting to change that.
“England never give up, that’s for sure. We have to be focused throughout the game, whether we’re ahead or behind, for 90 or 120 minutes,” warned Olmo.
After starting the Euro campaign as a substitute, Dani Olmo is likely to start in the final unless there are any surprises.
“I felt very good in the tournament, in a great moment and I need to continue enjoying it. Personally, I feel very good, prepared physically and mentally,” he added.
With two days to go before the game, the atmosphere for the decision is starting to heat up, with the announcement of a large presence of English fans in the stands at the Olympic Stadium in Berlin.
“It’s not a problem, we know the support we’re receiving throughout the Euros and it’s something that motivates us even more,” explained Olmo, convinced that Spain will have “11,000 fans in the stadium and 48 million in their homes.”
