Fisher-Black crossed the finish line alone, six seconds ahead of a group consisting of her teammate Lotte Kopecky, Juliette Labous (DSM) and Longo Borghini; the Giro leader now has a thirteen-second lead over Kopecky in the overall standings, and 25 seconds over Labous.
As for the two Basque cyclists from Laboral Kutxa-Fundación Euskadi who are competing in the race, Usoa Ostolaza finished 23rd, 2:12 behind the winner, while Ane Santesteban, 55th at the finish line, lost 6:05. In the general classification, Ostolaza is 26th, 3:50 behind Longo Borghini, and Santesteban is 59th, 9:26 behind the race leader.
The fourth stage of the 35th Giro d’Italia takes place on Wednesday, between Imola and Urbinowith 134 kilometers route and ending in a 3rd category port.
