Mbappé is voted best in the world by Globe Soccer; Ronaldinho receives award for career

Kylian Mbappé was elected this Monday the best player in the world by the Globe Soccer Awards, a traditional award that takes place in Dubai, in the United Arab Emirates. Even though he was ninth in the Golden Ball, the forward of the Paris Saint Germain ousted Messi and Lewandowski and won the prize.

“It’s a great pleasure to be here, surrounded by great football legends and figures. I want to thank those who believed in me, my family and those who helped me improve. My team and my club. I want to write the history of football and I work for that,” declared Mbappé.

Brazilian football was also represented at the ceremony. Ronaldinho Gaúcho received a career recognition award and was in Dubai to be honored.

Cristiano Ronaldo also appeared among the awardees and was elected the greatest scorer in history. In the female category, Spain’s Alexia Putellas, from Barcelona, ​​received the award for best player.
