Petersburg’s Zenit lost to Belgrade’s Crvena Zvezda at the pre-season friendly Summer Cup in Saint Petersburg. The results are available on the team’s website.

In the 49th minute, the score was equalized by midfielder Aleksandar Katai. The final score was set in the 86th minute by defender Stefan Lekovic.
The Summer Cup was won ahead of schedule by Crvena Zvezda, thus depriving Zenit of any chance of winning the trophy.
Last season, the blue-white-sky blues became the champion of Russia for the sixth time in a row, and also won the Russian Cup. On July 13, the team will meet Krasnodar in a match for the Russian Super Cup. The meeting will take place in Volgograd and will begin at 20:30 Moscow time.
