Goalkeeper Safonov named Dynamo forward Tyukavin the best young footballer of the RPL
PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, who previously represented Krasnodar, named the top 5 best young footballers of the Russian Premier League (RPL) for the 2023/2024 season. His choice is cited by Championship.
Safonov’s rating was topped by Dynamo forward Konstantin Tyukavin. Next came CSKA midfielder Abbosbek Fayzullaev, forward Nikita Saltykov, who played for Krylia Sovetov this season, Rostov midfielder Kirill Shchetinin, and Krasnodar midfielder Nikita Krivtsov.
Earlier, Tyukavin was named the best player of the 2023/2024 RPL season. Initially, the nominees were determined by journalists, then by fans. The decisive votes were cast by the captains and head coaches of the RPL teams, the president of the league and the legends of the tournament.
22-year-old Tyukavin is a product of the Dynamo Academy. Last season he played 38 matches in all tournaments, scored 17 goals and made 10 assists.
