Fitness expert Kanevsky: team sports are suitable for choleric and sanguine people
Fitness trainer Eduard Kanevsky gave advice to Russians on choosing physical activity depending on their temperament. His words are quoted by Moscow 24.
Kanevsky said that sanguine people – dynamic, positive, sociable and restless – will benefit from team sports. “And it doesn’t matter which ones. It could be football or hockey, volleyball, handball or participation in competitions such as the “hero race” and other activities where the result depends on teamwork,” the expert explained. He noted that in the event of a defeat, sanguine people will support other team members.
Kanevsky also recommended team games to choleric people – energetic, optimistic, purposeful, but prone to sudden mood swings and aggression. He suggested that they choose sports that involve aggression aimed at the result, such as rugby, American football or hockey. Martial arts, short-distance running and short track are also suitable for cholerics.
Phlegmatic people – balanced, calm, executive, peace-loving, but uncommunicative and even depressive – on the contrary, should pay attention to individual training. This can be any kind of sport from track and field to arm wrestling.
For melancholics – thoughtful, anxious, indecisive, and uncommunicative – Kanevsky suggested giving preference to yoga and pilates. Long-distance running and open-water swimming are also suitable for people with this temperament.
Earlier, physiotherapist Svetlana Malinovskaya named a universal sport for everyone. She stated that swimming is such a sport.
