2002 Olympic figure skating champion Alexei Yagudin responded to two-time Olympic champion Evgeni Plushenko, who named the amount for holding a joint competition, in his Telegram channel.

Earlier, Plushenko named the amount for holding the competition with Yagudin. Plushenko said that he is ready to compete with Yagudin for ten million rubles.

On March 9, Yagudin won the Russian Challenge show program tournament for the second time in a row. He received five million rubles as a prize. After that, information appeared that a rivalry between Yagudin and Plushenko was possible in the next season of show programs.
