Russian Boxing Federation Bans Rzayev for Life for Insulting Russian
The Russian Boxing Federation has punished mixed martial artist (MMA) fighter Javid Rzayev for offensive statements. This was reported on the organization’s VKontakte page.
The athlete was suspended from participation in sports and other events held under the auspices of the organization. Earlier, the federation also filed a complaint against Rzayev with the prosecutor’s office.
The incident resulted in the temporary suspension of the Hardcore Fighting Championship’s pugilistic and pop MMA league’s license. However, in exchange for admitting guilt and assisting, the federation renewed the promotion’s license.
The incident occurred at the Hardcore FC tournament on May 22. Rzayev defeated Russian Sergey Prikhodko. After the fight, he got into an altercation with another MMA fighter, Artur Kulinsky, and called him a Russian pig.
