Hardcore Fighting Suspends Fighter Rzayev for National Insults
The Hardcore Fighting League has suspended Azerbaijani mixed martial artist (MMA) Javid Rzayev, who called his opponent Artur Kulinsky a “Russian pig”, from fights, RIA Novosti reports.
The organization stated that the athlete cannot fight under the auspices of the promotion after insults on national grounds. Hardcore Fighting expects the fighter to express his civic position and answer for what he said.
Earlier, the Russian Boxing Federation filed a complaint with the Prosecutor General’s Office against Rzayev. It is noted that the Federation conducted an investigation into the incident that occurred on May 22, 2024, at the Hardcore FC Fist League competition. Based on its results, an application was filed with the Prosecutor General’s Office, and a decision was made to disqualify the athlete.
On May 22, Rzayev defeated Russian Sergey Prikhodko in a tournament organized by Hardcore. After that, Rzayev got into an altercation with another MMA fighter, Artur Kulinsky, calling him a “Russian pig.”
