Spain beats Georgia and secures a place in the quarterfinals, where it will face Germany (4-1)

Spain will play the quarterfinals of Euro 2024 against Germany after defeating Georgia in the round of 16 by a resounding 4-1.
In the first part, a left foot shot from Rodri Hernández adjusted to a goal six minutes before the break broke down the resistance of Georgia, which had taken the lead on the scoreboard in its first arrival with a Robin Le Normand’s own goal and was supported by the saves of his goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili (1-1).
Spain reacted before the break with Rodri’s shot on his thirteenth attempt, dominating from the start but falling victim to bad luck in the 18th minute with Le Normand’s own goal.
Their continuous attempts, with four saves from Mamardashvili, ended up paying off in the 38th minute with the equalizing goal.
