Russian Abdullina’s contract with Chelsea expired, she left the London club

Russian footballer Alsu Abdullina has left London’s Chelsea. This was reported by the official website of the English club.

“Abdullina left the club after her contract expired. “Everyone at Chelsea would like to thank Alsou for her contributions during her time at the club and wish her every success in the future,” the Chelsea press service said in a statement.

Earlier, Abdullina assessed the impact of the international situation on her career. The athlete said that what was happening in the world did not affect her work, but did complicate some processes. “It became very difficult to get to Russia. I get there through Turkey. Sometimes there were times when I needed to get my passport done in one day—I flew to Turkey and back immediately. It’s quite difficult,” the football player shared.

Abdullina signed a contract with Chelsea in December 2021. Together with the club, she twice became the champion of England and the winner of the National Cup. In the 2023/2024 season, the Russian played on loan in Paris, with whom she won bronze in the French Championship. Abdullina played 45 matches for the Russian national team.
