Rubin and Albanian national team player Daku apologized for shouting “kill the Serb” at the Euro
Footballer of Kazan Rubin and the Albanian national team Mirlind Daku commented on the insult to the Serbs at Euro 2024. He is quoted by Sport-Express.
“Immediately after the chant, I realized that I had said inappropriate things. I was in shock because I was exposed to emotions and allowed myself to shout like that,” Daku said.
The Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) has suspended Daka for two matches at the 2024 European Championship for insulting the Serbs. If the Albanians reached the playoffs, he would miss the 1/8 finals match. But for this Balkan team the tournament is already over.
Earlier it became known that after the match with Croatia in the group stage, Daku, celebrating a draw with Albanian fans, chanted nationalist chants that insulted the people of North Macedonia and Serbia.
