PSV launches new kit in tribute to Brazilians who made history at the club

PSV Eindhoven announced their new away kit for the 2024/25 season on Friday. The shirt features the colors of the Brazilian national team, paying tribute to the country’s players who made history with the Dutch team.

The faces of the launch campaign are the Brazilians from the current squad: André Ramalho and Mauro Júnior, who were an important part of PSV’s Dutch title campaign last season.

In the video released by the club on social media, Mauro Júnior narrates the passage of four Brazilian stars who made history at PSV, forwards Romário and Ronaldo, defender Alex and goalkeeper Gomes.

“It’s a true connection. I arrived at PSV very young, after the club had observed my development from the youth teams. I was able to grow up at the club listening to stories about the Brazilians who came before me. It’s exciting that they look back and recognize the legacy that our football left for the institution, for its fans. I will certainly wear this shirt with all the love and affection”, declared Mauro Júnior.

André (128) and Mauro (125) occupy fourth and fifth place, respectively, in the ranking of Brazilian players with the most games for PSV. The list is led by goalkeeper Gomes, with 181 games, followed by Romário, with 148. Third place is defender Marcelo, with 136 games.
