Russian and Belarusian tennis players have signed a declaration of neutrality to participate in Wimbledon 2024. TASS reports this.
The tournament organizers said that none of the tennis players refused to sign the document. In this way, athletes will be able to take part in Wimbledon.
On June 24, it became known that Russian and Belarusian tennis players will be required to sign a declaration of neutrality to participate in Wimbledon 2024. Tournament representatives emphasized that the conditions for participation of Russians and Belarusians will be the same as last year.
Wimbledon is one of the four Grand Slam tournaments. It will take place from July 1 to July 14.
In 2022, Russians and Belarusians were not allowed to participate in Wimbledon. Representatives of the countries have not missed the rest of the Grand Slam tournaments since the spring of 2022.
