CSKA alumnus talks about attitudes towards Russians in the US

CSKA student Mikhail Katin said that there is no bias towards Russians in the USA

A CSKA hockey alumnus Mikhail Katin spoke about the attitude towards Russians in the USA. His words are quoted by Sport24.

“There were no prejudices against me. Everything is calm. Absolutely neutral attitude towards the situation in the world and towards Russian people,” said the hockey player who played in the USA.

He also added that while playing for the Muskegon Lumberjacks, he got into a fight with a Canadian teammate over a joke. “At one point, one of the team leaders made an inappropriate joke about me. There was a fight. As a result, he got stitches,” Katin noted.

Footballer Valery Saramutin, who previously played in the US, spoke about the attitude towards Russian President Vladimir Putin in America. “Many people like Putin in the US. Teammates often asked about him. They also joked about vodka and bears – all standard,” the athlete said.
