After 24 years playing for Real Madrid, Nacho announced that he would leave the Spanish club last Tuesday. There, he played 364 games and won 26 titles: six Champions Leagues, five Club World Cups, four European Super Cups, four Spanish Championships, two Spanish Cups and five Spanish Super Cups.
At Al Quadisiya, the athlete will wear the number 6 shirt, the same number in which he ended his time at Real Madrid. He was excited about this new stage in his life.
“I’m very happy to start this project. For me, it’s a radical path and very different from my life. I would like to thank Al Quadisiya for their trust, I’m really happy. I hope we can achieve all our objectives”, he said.
Last season, Al Quadisiya competed in the Second Division of the Saudi Championship, became champions and guaranteed access to the local football elite. Nacho Fernández is currently representing the Spanish national team at the European Championship and will join his new club after the end of the competition.
