By covid-19, Premier League has two more matches postponed

The English Championship continues to suffer from the cases of covid-19. After games postponed throughout December, matches between Arsenal and Wolverhampton and Leeds United and Aston Villa will be rescheduled because of the pandemic.

The matches are valid for the 20th round and have teams that have already had to postpone other matches due to outbreaks of the disease.

Wolverhampton, who would face Arsenal in their next duel, did not take the field in the 19th round. The team would play against Watford on “Boxing Day”, but did not have the confrontation carried out.

Leeds United, in turn, did not play in the last round either. Marcelo Bielsa’s team faced Liverpool this Sunday, but the match had to be rescheduled.

Opponents of Wolverhampton and Leeds, Arsenal and Aston Villa played the day after Christmas, although Villa did not rely on their coach Steven Gerrard during the Chelsea loss, as they tested positive for covid-19. Arsenal, meanwhile, went in full force and thrashed Norwich City.
