CSKA called Swedish football player Wernbloom’s apology for playing in Russia trolling

General Director of CSKA Moscow Roman Babaev, in an interview with the team’s YouTube channel, appreciated the apology of Swedish football player Pontus Wernbloom for playing for the army team.

Babaev said that he was surprised by the athlete’s words, but then he stopped believing them. He called Wernbloom’s interview trolling and drew attention to the fact that the Swede has always had an unpredictable character. “I think old Pontus showed himself in all his glory and amused the Swedish public,” said the club’s general director.

On May 21, Wernbloom apologized for speaking for the army club. The footballer justified his actions by the fact that at the time the contract was signed, the situation in the world was completely different.

Wernbloom played for CSKA from 2012 to 2018. Together with the team, he became the champion of Russia three times and won the national cup. In the 2015/2016 season, the Swede was included in the list of the best players in the championship according to the Russian Football Union.
