The head of the ROC Pozdnyakov said that he considers the 2024 Games in Paris inferior
The head of the Russian Olympic Committee (ROC) Stanislav Pozdnyakov revealed his attitude towards the 2024 Summer Games in Paris. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
The functionary noted that he considers them inferior and is unlikely to follow the competition. “Russian sport has been awarded hundreds of Olympic awards. I don’t know if any competition can be called complete without athletes who have historically won a place on the podium,” Pozdnyakov said.
Earlier, the head of the ROC criticized Russian tennis players who want to compete at the Olympic Games. He called them a team of foreign agents.
The Summer Olympic Games will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11, 2024. Russians and Belarusians, if a number of conditions are met, will be able to compete in individual sports in a neutral status.
