Mario Pineida is expected in Brazil to close his signing with Fluminense

The Ecuadorian defender will have to undergo medical check-ups this Monday, before the official announcement of the Rio de Janeiro team.

His arrival confirmed by President Mário Bittencourt, the Ecuadorian defender Mario Pineida is expected this Monday in Rio de Janeiro for undergo medical evaluations, before its officialization as signing of Fluminense, to which he arrives on loan from Barcelona SC for a season.

“Pineida is already hired. He comes for the medical exams ”, Bittencourt advanced this week.

The defender must appear for check-ups at the Carlos José Castilho training ground, in Barra da Tijuca, west of Rio de Janeiro.

After this step, Fluminense would make Pineida’s loan official, who would return to the country for the end of the year festivities and then perform at the beginning of preseason scheduled for January 10.

At 29 years old, Fluminense will be the third club that Pineida defends in his sports career, after his professional debut in 2010 with Independent the Valley and a subsequent signing in 2016 by Barcelona SC.

The Ecuadorian is the third signing for the Fluminense squad, that in the following season he will have the Copa Libertadores as his maximum ambition.

This December, Fluminense hired coach Abel Braga, and with it came the steering wheel Felipe Melo and the attacker Willian Mustache. (D)
