The selections of France and Netherlands They keep the pulse for the leadership of the group D and qualification for the round of 16 of the Euro 2024 with a goalless draw in their duel this Friday in Leipzig.

Antoine Griezmann missed two clear chances for France, while, in the 69th minute, a goal by Xavi Simons was disallowed due to the positional offside of Denzel Dumfries, close to goalkeeper Mike Maignan.

The duel began with great intensity and chances. Frimpong tested Maignan in the first minute and Griezmann responded for the French. The Atlético player forgave another very clear one about a quarter of an hour in, in a mess with Rabiot.

The Netherlands did not lose face of the match and Gakpo had the answer, but little by little the pace slowed down in a first half without further hostilities. In the second half, the script was that kinder, but with possession for France.

Both France and the Netherlands looked defeat in the face and preferred not to take risks in that final stretch.

Austria has defeated Poland by 1-3 with goals from Trauner, Baumgartner and Arnautovic, the latter from a penalty, in a match that was resolved in the second half, after an even first half, leaving the Polish team out of the Eurocup after the tie between the Netherlands and France.

The Austrians managed to take the lead very early thanks to a header from Gernot Trauner (0-1), but Poland neutralized the goal in a confusing play resolved by Krzysztof Piatek (1-1).

After the break, in a play on the left wing, the Sturm Graz midfielder assisted Christoph Baumgartnerwho from the edge of the area adjusted the ball to the long post and beat the Polish goalkeeper (1-2). The goal finally sank Poland, already mortally wounded after Szczesny, who minutes before had a good hand on Wimmer’s shot, knocked down Sabitzer inside the area.

From the penalty spot, Marko Arnautovic did not fail and condemned those of Michal Probierz (1-3).
