The score was opened in the 18th minute, when Harry Kane received a ball hit inside the area and found the net for the first time in this edition of the continental. The center forward is the third player to score more than five goals in the European Championship for the English team, along with Alan Shearer and Wayne Rooney.
With 34 minutes on the clock, Hjulmand equalized for Denmark with a beautiful shot from outside the box, which hit the post before going in and gave goalkeeper Pickford no chance.
The second half was marked by a strong balance between the two teams, who failed to pose much danger to the opponent’s goals.
