Fedkov said that the meeting with Putin made a powerful impression on him
Former Russian national team footballer Andrei Fedkov shared his impressions of his meeting with the country’s President Vladimir Putin in 2004. His words are quoted by Sport24.
“The most powerful impression. Vladimir Vladimirovich just came in – and immediately his eyes burned through him. Will eat anyone with a glance! He will destroy it immediately if something is not according to his rules,” Fedkov said. The ex-player added that after shaking hands with the president, he did not want to wash his hand.
Putin received the players of Terek (now Akhmat), in which Fedkov played, in 2004. The event was associated with the victory of the Grozny team in the Russian Cup.
In addition to Terek, Fedkov played for several clubs, including Shakhtar Donetsk, Rostselmash, Sokol and Baltika. He has two matches for the Russian national team.
