For Sylvinho, Albania coach, ‘it’s immense joy’ to be in the Euro ‘group of death’

This Tuesday, Albania’s coach, Brazilian Sylvinho, formerCorinthiansstated that he was happy to be able to face the best teams in what is considered the ‘group of death’ of the Euro Cupon the eve of the duel against Croatia, in Hamburg, at 10 am (Brasília time).

“It’s obviously a very difficult group, but it’s an immense joy for us to play against the best teams,” said Sylvinho during a press conference. “It’s a joy to play against teams that have players from Manchester City, Milan, Real Madrid. It’s a magnificent tournament, we have a lot to learn,” he added.

“Albania is not here to watch its opponents,” he assures. “We’re not going to give up, there’s the 90 minutes, the stoppage time. Against Italy we were present until the end, we could have drawn”, observed the coach.

Croatia was dominated by Spain, “but they played well, had opportunities, caused problems for the Spanish”, noted Sylvinho. With “the heart of their game being the midfield, Croatia has many qualities, be it passing, shooting, the ability to keep the ball”.

“But we also have good players, our captain won the Europa League” with Atalanta, warned the coach.

Captain Berat Djimsiti explained that, against Italy, Albania learned that “every mistake can cost a goal, so quickly it surprised us and we have to correct it from now on”.
