Just as it did with Mbappé, Real Madrid vetoed the presence of Brahim Díaz in the Moroccan team at the Paris Olympic Games. The Spanish club claims that, with the European Championship and Copa América, the majority of the squad will have less pre-season time.
Brahim was born in Spain, but chose to defend Morocco, the birthplace of one of his grandmothers. Even though he stood out at Milan and Real Madrid, the midfielder was not chosen by coach Luis de la Fuente to play for the Spanish national team. So, with Moroccan citizenship, he decided to play for the African country.

In Olympic football, teams can only have three players over the age of 23 and Brahim would be one of these athletes. Despite Real Madrid’s decision, the Moroccans should try again for the player’s presence.
This season at the Spanish club, Brahim participated in the Spanish Championship and Champions League titles. The midfielder played 44 times, scored 12 goals and provided four assists.
