The Portugal team will make its debut at Euro 2024 this Tuesday, at 4pm (Brasília time), against the Czech Republic, at the Red Bull Arena Leipzig. A few hours before the clash, Cristiano Ronaldo used his social networks to send a message to the Portuguese fans.

“Portuguese, another chapter in our history will begin. I remember with affection my first day with the national team, a journey full of challenges and victories. Now, I have the honor of being alongside a team of champions, full of talent and determination. With everyone’s strength and support, we turn dreams into reality. Let’s fight for another triumph together, we are unstoppable.

Along with the message, a video was published with some moments of Cristiano Ronaldo’s preparation for the European competition. Portugal fans also appear in the images.

At 39 years old, Cristiano Ronaldo could become the oldest player to score goals in the European Championship. The current record is held by Austrian Ivica Vastic, who scored at the age of 38 years and 257 days, in 2008.

In addition to the Czech Republic, Portugal shares Group F of the European Championship with Turkey and Georgia. The clash against the Turks will be on June 22nd, while against the Georgians it will be on the 26th.
