The head of Zenit, Alexander Medvedev, commented on the billion-dollar earnings of the club’s potential newcomer Maxim Glushenkov. He is quoted by “Championship”.
“There are insiders only in the tax office. The rest are empty nesters,” Medvedev said.
Earlier it was reported that Lokomotiv Moscow midfielder Maxim Glushenkov would move to Zenit. According to insider Ivan Karpov, the football player will earn one billion rubles at Zenit in four years. The St. Petersburg club will pay 600 million rubles for the player’s transfer, another 400 million will be spent on agent payments and lifting fees.
Earlier, Glushenkov stated that he had no desire to move to any club in Europe. According to him, he would refuse to leave for the outsider of the French championship Le Havre, as another Russian Daler Kuzyaev did.
