Romania and Slovakia have added their first points of this Euro 2024 thanks to the victories achieved against Ukraine and Belgium, respectively.

Belgium lost this Monday against the Slovakia team (0-1) in the debut of both in the Euro Cup, in a match in which The VAR annulled 2 goals against Lukaku and in which the Slovak goal came after a blunder by Doku.

After a first half marked by Doku’s error in ball exit that ended the Schranz goal in the 7th minute and due to three errors by Lukaku on clear occasions, Belgium raised the level in the second half without success.

Lukaku was once again the protagonist with two goals disallowed by the VAR and Slovakia saved Bakayoko’s goal between the sticks, tying up three fundamental points to be able to be in the second round and make it extremely difficult for Belgium.

Romania-Ukraine

The Romanian team has beaten Ukraine 3-0, this Monday, in Munich, at the first match of group E of the Euro 2024, which is being played in Germany. Stanciu, Razvan Marin and Dragus, in the 30th, 53rd and 56th minutes, scored the goals for the Romanian team, which, in this way, has begun its participation in the championship in a brilliant way.

Romania’s good play has also been accompanied by a unfortunate performance of the Ukrainian goalkeeper, Andriy Lunin; Two errors by the Real Madrid goalkeeper have brought with them two of the goals for Iordanescu’s team, which had not won a Euro Cup match for 24 years.

Romania had not obtained good results in the previous friendlies, but, in its debut in Germany, it has shown that it is in a good moment of play. Thus, Stanciu, after a mistake by Lunin, put Romania in front after half an hour of play, and, without even reaching a quarter of an hour into the second half, Razvan Marin and Dragus gave their sentence, with a forcefulness that gives the Romanian team serious options to qualify for the round of 16 at the end.
