Fans of the Romanian national team hung the flag of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) during the Euro 2024 group stage match with Ukraine. This was reported by the Telegram channel Arsen Versen.

The published photo shows that fans wearing Romanian national team T-shirts, sitting in the front row, hung the DPR flag. The match took place at the Allianz Arena stadium in Munich on June 17 and ended in a crushing victory for the Romanian team with a score of 3:0.

Earlier, information appeared that the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) banned the bringing of Russian flags to the match between Ukraine and Romania. Security personnel at the Allianz Arena had to take away the tricolors from fans heading to the game. Similar measures should have been taken against fans who displayed the Russian flag during the match.

Euro 2024 takes place in ten cities in Germany from June 14 to July 14. The Russian national team misses the tournament due to suspension by UEFA.
