Without Ángel Correa and Barco, Argentina announces final squad list for Copa América

This Saturday, Argentina announced the final list of 26 called up by coach Lionel Scaloni for the Copa América.

Defender Léo Balerdi (Olympique Marseille), left-back Valentín Barco (Brighton) and striker Ángel Correa (Atlético de Madrid) were with the delegation, but were left out of the final list.

The main names of the Argentine national team, such as Lionel Messi (Inter Miami) and Di María (Benfica), were confirmed in the squad. In addition to them, other athletes who won the World Cup in 2022 were also guaranteed, for example: Cristian Romero (Tottenham), Nicolás Otamendi (Benfica), Rodrigo De Paul (Atlético de Madrid), Lautaro Martínez (Inter Milan) and Julián Álvarez (Manchester City).

The current Copa América champion is in Group A, with Canada, Chile and Peru. Argentina debuts in the tournament next Thursday, at 9pm (Brasília time), against Canada, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium, in Atlanta, USA.
