Striker Robert Lewandowski will “probably” be fit for Poland’s second game in the European Championship, against Austria, coach Michal Probierz said on Friday.
Due to a muscle injury, Lewandowski will miss the Polish team’s debut in the continental tournament next Sunday, against the Netherlands.

However, Probierz was optimistic about the player’s return next week: “Robert will probably be with the team for the game against Austria” on June 21, declared the coach.
“He is improving with treatment. The medical department is doing everything possible to help him recover,” he added.
The 35-year-old striker was injured last Monday, during Poland’s 2-1 victory over Turkey, in a friendly to prepare for the Euros.
The Polish team is in Group D of the continental tournament, alongside France, the Netherlands and Austria.
