Champions League finalist Borussia Dortmund announced the appointment of Nuri Sahin as head coach. The official website of the club reports this.
“It is a great honor for me to become the head coach of Borussia Dortmund. “I would like to thank all members of the club’s senior management for believing in me,” Sahin said in an interview with the Borussia press service.
35-year-old Sahin replaced Edin Terzic, who last season led the team to the Champions League final, where it lost to Real Madrid. Sahin’s last place of work was Antalyaspor; he headed the Turkish club from October 2021 to December 2023.
During his playing career, Sahin played for Borussia and together with them became the winner of the German Bundesliga in the 2010/2011 season. At the same time, he was recognized as the best player in the German championship.
