Vyalbe appreciated Ukraine’s call for the removal of three Russians from the Olympic Games

Vyalbe called the Ukrainians who called for the removal of three Russian women from the Olympic Games nonhumans

President of the Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) Elena Vyalbe appreciated the call of Ukrainian sports officials to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) with a request to remove three Russian women from participating in the 2024 Olympic Games (OG). Her words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

“These are idiots and simply non-humans,” said Vyalbe. She added that she would not comment further on this matter.

Earlier, the President of the National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Ukraine Vadim Gutzeit, the Acting Minister of Youth and Sports of Ukraine Matvey Bedny and the President of the Ukrainian Wrestling Association Yuriy Kopytko sent a joint letter to the IOC. They opposed the participation in the tournament of three representatives of the Russian national wrestling team – Dinara Kudaeva, Natalya Malysheva and Olga Khoroshavtseva.

The reason given was Kudaeva’s post on social networks about her father, who did not return from the Northern Military District zone. The athlete called him a hero, and her teammates supported her.

The IOC allowed Russians and Belarusians to participate in the 2024 Games as individual neutral athletes. At the same time, athletes who support a special operation in Ukraine, as well as those who have connections with the armed forces or security agencies of Russia and Belarus, will not be allowed to participate in the competition. In addition, representatives of team sports will miss the tournament.
