Hadjduk Split will have Italian Gennaro Gattuso as its new coach for the next two seasons, the Croatian club announced in a statement this Wednesday.
Gattuso, who won the 2006 World Cup as a player for the Azzurri squad, has coached a number of teams, from Milan to Olympique Marseille, including Valencia, Napoli and Fiorentina.

“HNK Hajduk is pleased to confirm today (Wednesday) that our first team will be led by the legendary Gennaro Gattuso,” the Croatian club states on its official website.
Gattuso had been without a team since the Olympique de Marseille fired him in February. In addition to the 2006 World Cup, Gattuso won two Champions Leagues (2003 and 2007) with Milan as a player.
After finishing in third place, Hajduk Split will play in the UEFA Conference League next season.
