Lionel Messi says Inter Miami will be his last football club
Argentine striker Lionel Messi has named his last club in his career. His words are quoted by ESPN.
Messi said that his last football club will be Inter Miami, for which he currently plays. “At the same time, I am enjoying football more and more, because I understand that I have less and less time to play,” he added.
In February it was reported that Messi had become the most popular athlete in the United States. In a survey of residents of the country over 12 years of age, the Argentinean turned out to be more popular than ex-basketball player Michael Jordan and former American football player Tom Brady.
36-year-old Messi joined the Inter Miami squad in the summer of 2023. His contract with the club runs until the end of the 2024/2025 season. As part of the team, he won the League Cup.
