The lawyer of Safonov’s ex-wife Shilov denied the lifting of the ban on the player leaving the Russian Federation
Lawyer Maxim Shilov, who represents the interests of Krasnodar goalkeeper Matvey Safonov’s ex-wife Anastasia, denied the player’s repayment of alimony debt. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.
Shilov did not confirm the information about the lifting of the ban on the football player leaving Russia. He noted that the alimony debt, which caused the restrictions, has not yet been repaid. “There is no money in Anastasia’s accounts. Perhaps they were received by the bailiffs, then it will take about a day to transfer the funds,” the lawyer emphasized.
On June 11, journalist Ivan Karpov reported that Safonov had paid off his alimony arrears. According to the source, the goalkeeper’s ban on leaving the country was lifted.
On June 7, Safonov was banned from leaving Russia due to non-payment of alimony. After recalculation, the goalkeeper ended up owing his ex-wife and daughter 60 million rubles. The footballer himself called the information about the travel ban rumors.
On May 25, it was reported that Safonov was close to moving to the French PSG. It was clarified that the clubs had reached a final agreement on signing a five-year contract.
