The Netherlands hosted Iceland this Monday, in their last friendly before the European Championship. With a goal scored by Van Dijk, the home team won 4-0.
The Dutch team returns to the field this Sunday, at 10 am (Brasília time), when they make their Euro debut against Poland, at the Volksparkstadion. France and Austria complete Group D of the continental tournament.
Iceland, in turn, will not compete in the European Championship and will only return to the field on August 6, at 3:45 pm, when they host Montenegro, in the first round of the Nations League.

The Netherlands opened the scoring in the 22nd minute of the first half. Denzel Dumfries sent a cross into the middle of the box and Xavi Simons sent it into the goal.
In the second half, after a corner kick, two Dutch players deflected the ball before Van Dijk headed it and scored the second of the match, in the third minute.
At 33, Memphis Depay made a beautiful pass to Donyell Malen, who invaded the area and scored the Netherlands’ third. Depay even found the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside.
There was still time for Weghourst to receive it from Malen and just have to work to take it from the goalkeeper to put final numbers in the rout of the Netherlands, in the 48th minute.
