Boucher: If Bobrovsky wins the Stanley Cup, he will be included in the NHL Hall of Fame

Former Philadelphia Flyers goalkeeper Brian Boucher praised the performance of Russian Florida Panthers goalkeeper Sergei Bobrovsky. His words are quoted by The Athletic.

“If Bobrovsky wins the Stanley Cup, he will be inducted into the National Hockey League (NHL) Hall of Fame. He’s already close without it, but with the trophy he’ll almost certainly secure a place there,” predicted Boucher. He noted that he had not seen a single goalkeeper who looked like a Russian.

In the first game of the Stanley Cup final series, Florida defeated the Edmonton Oilers. The meeting ended with a score of 3:0. Bobrovsky made a shutout and set a record.

Bobrovsky, 35, has been playing for Florida since 2019. Previously in the NHL, he also defended the colors of Philadelphia and the Columbus Blue Jackets. In Russia, the goalkeeper played for Metallurg and SKA.
