Manchester United will decide coach Erik Ten Hag’s future this week

Manchester United should decide this week whether or not coach Erik Ten Hag will remain, according to Sky Sports. Named as a possible candidate for the position, Thomas Tuchel is not part of the English club’s plans.

Ten Hag has a contract with the Red Devils until the end of next season, June 2025. However, after the team’s poor performance in the English Championship, the team is considering ending the contract early.

If the Dutchman leaves, Mauricio Pochettino (ex-Chelsea), Thomas Frank (from Brentford) and Graham Potter (ex-Chelsea) appear as possible replacements, according to the English press.

In the last edition of the Premier League, United finished in eighth place, the worst position in the table since 1990. Despite this, the Red Devils beat rivals Manchester City in the FA Cup final and won the competition title.

In 2023/24, Manchester United played 52 games, won 25, drew eight and lost 19. In total, 88 goals were scored and 85 conceded.
