Safonov’s ex-wife appealed to PSG due to the goalkeeper’s failure to pay alimony
The ex-wife of Krasnodar goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, Anastasia Safonova, contacted PSG. Her lawyer Maxim Shilov told TASS about this.
“So far there has been no response from PSG, they only contacted us today, they also contacted the main department of the bailiff service only today – for a personal meeting with the management,” Shilov said. The lawyer emphasized that at the moment the football player has not paid alimony.
Shilov added that Safonova’s family is looking for a lawyer in France. He also announced his intention to appeal to the commission on the dispute over children established by Russia and France, which operates in France. “Matvey Evgenievich still demands that his daughter, who is under three years old, be handed over to him for upbringing. Apparently, we will have to apply these rules of private international law to resolve this conflict,” the specialist explained.
Earlier it became known that Safonov was banned from leaving Russia due to non-payment of alimony. After recalculation, the goalkeeper ended up owing his ex-wife and daughter 60 million rubles. Because of this, his transfer to PSG may be in jeopardy. At the same time, the footballer himself called the information about the travel ban rumors.
On May 25, it was reported that Safonov was close to moving to PSG. It was clarified that the clubs had reached a final agreement on signing a five-year contract.
