Jagoba Arrasate, new Mallorca coach

Jagoba Arrasate will be the coach of the Majorca for the next three seasons, until the end of the 2026-27 campaign, as announced this Monday by the Balearic club. Arrasate, 46 years old, replaces the Mexican Javier Aguirre on the Vermilion benchwho left the Mallorcan entity after a season in which he managed to take the team to the final of the Copa del Rey and keep it in LaLiga EA Sports.
Mallorca has highlighted that Arrasate arrives backed by a successful six-year period at the helm of Osasuna, with which he was promoted to the top category in his first season and played in the final of the Copa del Rey in 2023 and the Super Cup last year. The Mallorcan team will be the third squad led by the Berriatua coach in the First Division, where he made his debut, in the 2013-14 season, as coach of Real Sociedad.
“I won’t lack excitement”, said Jagoba Arrasate, also current coach of Euskal Selekzioa. He will be officially presented as coach of Mallorca on Tuesday, June 18.
