Guberniev called for Thompson, who tried to beat up his girlfriend’s mother, to be kicked out of football
The famous Russian sports journalist Dmitry Guberniev commented on the attempt of Orenburg defender Jordi Thompson to beat his girlfriend’s mother. Guberniev shared his opinion on this matter in a conversation with Lenta.ru.
“We need to drive away such legionnaires with a filthy broom. They disgrace Russian football. It is not clear what the Orenburg management thinks. It’s now up to law enforcement agencies. But such people are criminals. They should be in prison, not playing in our Russian league,” Guberniev said.
Earlier it became known that Chilean defender of Orenburg Jordi Thompson tried to beat his girlfriend’s mother after she caught him with five prostitutes. It is noted that the victim filed a police report against Thompson. He could face jail time.
“Orenburg” leased Thompson from the Chilean “Colo-Colo” with the right of subsequent purchase. In his homeland, the athlete was placed under house arrest due to charges of violence against a girl, contempt of court and attempted murder. The footballer was later released on bail of 100 million pesos (a little more than 100 thousand euros).
